Congratulating AHLA president elect - Dr. Tuyen Van Duong on receiving the IHLA Appreciation Award on Global Service
Dr. Tuyen Van Duong received the Award for Global Service from International Health Literacy Association (IHLA) at the 2nd Global Health Literacy Summit (2GHLS) , September 18-20, 2024, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He had involved in the 2GHLS as a member of scientific program committee, a moderator, an invited speaker. Dr. Duong is currently an Assistant Professor of Taipei Medical University, President elect of Asian Health Literacy Association, and Chair of IHLA Standing Committee of Research Standards.

The award is presented by Dr. Kristine Sørensen (president of IHLA), and Dr. Orkan Okan (president elect of IHLA) during the award ceremony session.
At the summit, Dr. Duong have shared one topic “Psychometric Properties of Health Literacy Survey Tools” in the workshop - Health Literacy Research Methods, Measures and Reach; two scientific presentations “Healthy Diet Literacy and Related Issues in Healthy Young Adults, Healthcare workers , Outpatients, and Hemodialysis Patients” and “Roles of Digital Healthy Diet Literacy, Cooking Skills, Healthy Eating Behavior on Marriage and Childbearing Intentions in Young Adults”, and one vision sharing about the health literacy in Asia during the regional meeting. The presentations received full attention and discussion from plenty of participants
