Warmly welcome a new Assistant Secretary-General
The AHLA welcomes Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, M.D., M.Sc., a new Assistant Secretary-General, started from 1/1/2022.
Thao graduated with a Master's degree in Health Policy, Planning and Financing, Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary). She is currently a researcher at Health Management Training Institute, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University. As a young researcher discovering health policy, health economics, HTA, HRQoL tools, and health literacy, she has published 18 original research articles in prestigious international journals and actively participated in several health-related conferences.
Receiving this appointment, Thao shared, "With boundless gratitude for the confidence placed in me by the Asian Health Literacy Association, I humbly accept the appointment as the 2022 Assistant Secretary-General of this great Association. I plan to keep my enthusiasm and responsibility at AHLA in the coming year and am devoted to improving health literacy and international health".
