The 4th European Health Literacy Conference in Dublin, Ireland
The conference began with opening remarks from Professor Peter Chang, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and several of the World Health Organization (WHO) Experts. The conference was filled with many interesting and engaging sessions for health literacy champions around the world (https://www.ehlc2019.com/conference-programme). This year's overarching theme is "Building Health Literate Societies". AHLA representatives attended the sessions on Digital Health Literacy, the European Innovations on Policy Making, and the Discussions of the Health Literacy Survey in 2019 launched by the Action Network on Measuring Population and Organizational Health Literacy (M-POHL) of WHO Europe's Health Information Initiative (EHII). Professor Ting-Ting Su from AHLA Country Office-Malaysia also joined the conference platform to discuss how to harmonize the data in the international consortium.
